Audience Feedback and Alterations....

Once I had finished my poster and magazine cover, I decided, as it was part of my evaluation, to get some audience feedback. I then noticed that people were noticing mistakes on my magazine cover and so on, so I decided to make some alterations and show this in a blog post, as well as my final evaluation.

Magazine Cover:

For my magazine cover, some people pointed out that there were a few grammar mistakes, and that the date didn't match my magazine name, i.e. it's 'Films Weekly' and I have a monthly date. One person also suggested that I move the price above the date.  I then went back onto Photoshop and made the necessary adjustments. I changed the date to 'March 10th - 16th 2014' this is a weekly date, so it matches the title and purpose of the magazine. I then changed the text underneath the main cover-line, to correct any grammatical errors. It's now simple and sums up the interview with the 'main stars'. However, I didn't move the price as I thought it looked better above the bar code, and that most if not all magazines have the price just above the barcode. The date is also fine where it is, I prefer to have it underneath the title, rather than above the barcode as it fits better where it is.

Poster:

For my poster, there wasn't much criticism or adjustments needed. People preferred this one to my other poster as it featured social media and was more zoomed in. I agree with these comments as I felt that my last poster didn't look as polished as this one. Further feedback was that the slogan was difficult to read so I have adjusted this by changing the colour to white and having a brighter glow behind the text as shown below. Other than that alteration, feedback was generally positive.
